Roberto Medina
SAVERIO

Born in Mexico, Roberto is a bilingual actor with years of experience in theater, film, and TV. He has participated in internationally acclaimed films, such as AMORES PERROS, FRIDA, 21 GRAMS, NEW ORDER, and others. He has also performed in many TV series such as THE BRIDGE, THE ROMANOFFS, and TRUE DETECTIVE. Roberto received his MFA from Rutgers University, where he studied with the legendary William Esper. That’s where he met Ellen Ancui, his very first scene partner, and to this day, date, she still makes fun of the way he pronounced psychodelic -- sick-o-delical. Of course, a long-lasting relationship developed, and this past spring, Ellen asked Roberto to audition for her short, SAVERIO. When he read the script, he was drawn to how well written, how fun and creative Ellen’s story telling was and he was all in. To be able to collaborate with Ellen after all these years, and raise awareness about mental health and aging has been very special for him. Roberto is very proud of his flawless accent in this production.
